Hiring Network
A union-backed, 5-week intensive program designed to prepare justiceinvolved individuals for careers in the skilled trades. Participants graduate
with industry recognized certifications certifications, hands-on experience,
and access to registered apprenticeship opportunities.
A green workforce initiative where participants gain paid work experience
while learning valuable, transferable skills in environmental stewardship
and arboriculture — opening doors to careers in municipal services and
landscaping.
In partnership with leading financial institutions, SCC offered workshops
on budgeting, banking access, credit building, and long-term financial
planning. These sessions helped participants shift from survival mode to
long-term financial visioning.
SCC has built a robust network of Fair Chance Hiring employer partners,
connecting small and mid-sized businesses to an often-overlooked labor
pool of justice-involved individuals ready to work. Through a thoughtful,
trauma-informed approach, SCC stabilizes, prepares, and supports
clients, ensuring they are employment-ready and matched to meaningful
opportunities.
This model doesn’t just change lives — it strengthens the workforce and
addresses critical labor shortages across key industries. SCC serves as a
bridge between talent and employers, advancing both second chances
and economic growth.
These programs not only connected people to work — but to purpose,
identity, and a future they could build and sustain.
